Behind the Ear - BTE

​A behind the ear, or over the ear hearing aid is still preferred by some patients.  The advantages to BTE hearing aids are: 1) They are worn out of the ear, and therefore, they require almost no cleaning, 2) the controls are large, and easy to operate. BTE models are available with twin microphones. An earmold is made to connect the hearing aid to the ear canal. A wide variety of earmold styles are available.
